Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to
someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so
they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends
are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to
health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made
whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our
dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small
thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had
to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one
suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes
are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to
run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs
carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend
finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to
be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your
hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more
into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your
life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

In Memory

Sadie Jane was one of our first Bulldogs , she had the best
disposition you could ever hope for. She was our family pet
and would sit for hours at the window waiting for us to come
home. Whether it was 5 minutes or 5 hours the reception
was always the same, always happy to see you return. As
our goals took on a new direction to breed and show our
Bulldog population grew . We realized that we weren't
giving Sadie the love and attention she deserved. She was
getting up in age and not as tolerant of the younger dogs as
she once was.
Torn between the Love we had for our Sadie Girl and
knowing in our hearts that Sadie deserved better then what
we could offer her . We found the perfect home for Sadie
with the Desotell Family locally were we could still see her
from time to time. She would be their only dog and would
get the attention she so rightly deserved.
At first I think Julie was a bit apprehensive because of
Sadie's age so we all decided a trial bases would be best and
the could return her to us if they so choose . One day Julie
called me crying and my heart sunk thinking the worse had
happened and Sadie passed on so soon. Not the case, they
were tears of joy thanking me for the best present anyone
could have given her. Julie fell in love with Sadie and
Sadie with her :o ) She took her every where she went ,even
to places dogs aren't allowed. Julie's Mom had cancer and
came to live with them for awhile before having to go to a
nursing home . She didn't like dogs until she met Sadie .
Julie would dressed Sadie in cute funny outfits and make
regular visits to the nursing home to visit her Mom. All the
residents looked forward to their visits and Sadie would pull
them around in their wheel chairs. She became an unofficial
therapy dog to so many and when Julie's Mom passed on
she was a great comfort to her as well .
We have since moved away to Florida , I received a phone
call from a very heart broken Julie , she had to put Sadie
to sleep and was devastated. Not knowing what I know now
we never had Sadie spayed and she got Pyo , the treatments
weren't working , both Julie and the vet felt she wasn't
strong enough to under go surgery . We cried together on
the phone for several hours.
We would like to Thank Julie & Bruce as well as the
entire Desotell Family for spoiling Sadie rotten and giving
Sadie the Very best home a Bulldog could ever want.
Thank You for taking such good care of Sadie Jane.
R.I.P
Sweet Sadie Jane
